Traffic signs represent the primary means of communication between road users and roadway design engineers. Inappropriately placed signs could result in the failure to deliver the message in time for a driver to make a safe maneuver. Conversely, high sign density could overload drivers causing driver distraction or missed signs.
Inventorying traffic signs using conventional tools is time consuming, burdensome, and financially demanding. Unlike most off-the-shelf LiDAR software, at Nektar 3D Consulting we understand that processing LiDAR datasets in a manual or semi-automated manner can be a tedious process. To overcome this challenge, we provide fully automated unattended processing.
